Ahmed Taha

Dr. Taha is an assistant clinical professor in Cleveland Clinic Learner Collage of Medicine -Case western Reserve University and critical care physician in the cardiothoracic ICU – Institute of Critical Care Medicine; Cleveland Clinic – Abu Dhabi. Graduated from Ain Shams University in 1993 and trained in the intensive Care Unit of Adult Cardiothoracic Surgery at Ain Shams University Hospital from 1996 to 2003. During this time he received a Master’s Degree in Cardiology from Ain Shams University. He then received his second Masters Degree in Intensive Care Science from Ain Shams University. He was awarded a Diploma by the Royal Collage of Physician of the United Kingdom (MRCP UK) and was nominated fellowship of the American College Of Chest Physician (FCCP) in 2007. He also received the European Diploma of Intensive Care Medicine (EDIC) from Brussels, Belgium in 2008. He was awarded fellowship by the Royal Collage of Physician of Edinburgh and London (FRCP) in 2013. He is currently a Course Consultant at the Society of Critical Care Medicine (SCCM) for the Fundamental Critical Care Support Course (FCCS) and the Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support Course (PFCCS) , Multi-professional Critical care review course (MCCRC) and  Fellow of the American collage of Critical care Medicine (FCCM). He is also an international Consultant of SCCM critical care Ultrasound (basic and advanced) Courses, and Certified National Board of Critical Care Echocardiography (USA), Selected as a member of SCCM fundamental academy and research committee , he is also international course director for BASIC Intensive Care Nephrology, Mechanical ventilation, Airway Management and cardiothoracic ICU beyond basic Courses, multiple courses conducted internationally in the last 10 years (UAE, OMAN, KSA, Egypt, Bahrain). Awarded Safar Global Partner award from SCCM 2021 for his contribution of education across middle east, He conducted researches in critical care ultrasound, surgical airway, mechanical ventilation, Respiratory Failure, sepsis and hemodynamics. He is also a member of numerous committees and international societies and Chair of Scientific and planning committee of Best of SCCM conference (Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi), he shared as a Chairman ,speaker and faculty in multiple national and international meetings and conferences.

Shared  educational training to establish critical care training in low resource countries by mission to Yamen/ Sudan to conduct program of SCCM and NCS.

Applied Simulation based training in critical care – in multiple critical care training modules.

Authored multiple book chapters published in springer, Elsevier, SCCM and UpToDate along with international critical care editors and researchers.
