Cliff A. Aliga is an Emergency and Critical Care Nurse, working as a Senior Instructor at Aga Khan University School of Nursing and Midwifery, Uganda Campus. He has over 22 years of multicultural nursing experience in Uganda and Europe. Has extensive experience in Emergency and Critical Care Nursing, a vibrant quality Nursing care services promoter. Cliff is the current Chairperson for the Critical Care Nursing Association of Uganda (CCNAU), Founding President of the African Federation of Critical Care Nurses (AFCCN), a Past Board member of the Global Sepsis Alliance, and a member of the Africa Sepsis Alliance (ASA) and past Vice President of the Emergency Care Society of Uganda (ECSU), Past Board Member of Uganda Healthcare Federation (UHF) 2011-2014.
Mr. Aliga Cliff is a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) student at the University of South Africa (UNISA); with a focus on investigating “Strategies to enhance detecting and reporting of adverse events among healthcare professionals in Uganda”.
Research interests: Patient Safety and Quality of Care, Sepsis, Critical Care Training, and Education Approaches, Emergency Care in Resource-Limited Settings, and Capacity Building
