Halima Salisu Kabara

Halima is a Practice Development Consultant venturing into a private enterprise. She was the former Practice Development Manager of the Life Support Training Program, Anesthesiology/ICU, Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital.
She is a Fellow of West African College of Nursing, has a Master in Public Policy Administration, and a PhD in Health Care Administration.
Her passion for the development of Multidisciplinary Critical Care Workforce has inspired her into many laudable initiatives. She initiated and developed the Bachelor of Nursing Sciences Degree Program at Bayero University Kano; and the Life Support Training Center at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital is her brain child. Pioneered and started the SCCM Pediatric Fundamental Critical Care Support Course in Nigeria, at Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital in 2013, and this culminated into an annual Critical care / Life Support Training, in partnership with Pediatric Universal Life – Saving Effort (PULSE) Inc. from New York.
Her main interests are: Sepsis, Critical Care Workforce Development and Outreach, Telemedicine/Digital healthcare and Implementation Science Research and Investigator-led research
