Levent Yamanel

Council Member of the Society of Turkish Intensivists

Prof. Dr. Levent Yamanel, MD, graduated from Gulhane School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkiye, in 1992. He did her residency in the Department of Internal Medicine of the same Faculty between 1995-1999. After working in the intensive care unit of the same Faculty between 2000 and 2012, he became intensivist in 2012. He has been a full-time intensivist since 2012 and is currently the Chairperson of the Department of Intensive Care, in Gulhane School of Medicine, Ankara. He is currently the Council member Society of Turkish Intensivists. He is still the chairperson of the sepsis working group of the same society. He was the congress chairperson of the 14th National Turkish Internal and Surgical Sciences Intensive Care Congress and the 6th Eurasian Intensive Care Meeting. He chaired 5 National Sepsis Symposiums. He is in the COVID-19 Scientific Advisory Board of Turkish Ministry of Health. Additionally, he is a member of several international and national societies such as Society of Turkish Intensivists, Turkish Society of Internal Medicine, Turkish Society of Intensive Care, Turkish Society of Clinical Enteral and Parenteral Nutrition. He has 35 publications indexed in PubMed, with a Google Scholar H-index of 19, and 1120 citations in Web of Science (by December 1, 2022).
