I am currently coordinating, at international level, the new Sepsis Code Plan. This consists of different modules. The first step is the realization of the new International Consensus Document of the Sepsis Code (the previous one was from 2016), which will consist of about 350 global multidisciplinary experts: the document will be a clinical practice guideline based on systematic literature review and expert opinion based on the DELPHY Methodology. The second module consists of the implementation of new training courses in sepsis, which will be certified, aimed at nurses and physicians (for these we will have a basic and an advanced course). The third module is a plan to disseminate the health impact of sepsis worldwide, together with several national and international societies such as FEPIMCTI, the World Federation of Intensive Care Medicine and PAHO-WHO. And we have already started the work of scientific support for the implementation of the Sepsis Code Plan in different regions in Europe and America and in certain countries, such as Portugal or Colombia.
