Kutay Demirkan is Professor and Head of Clinical Pharmacy Department at Hacettepe University Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara-Turkey. After his graduation from the same pharmacy school in 1995, he continued his PharmD (doctor of pharmacy in clinical pharmacy) education at University of Tennessee, USA. Then he completed residency programs in “General Medicine” and “Critical Care/Infectious Diseases” in Memphis-Tennessee, USA. He is founder of clinical pharmacy department in Turkey in 2013. His areas of expertise are general medicine, infectious diseases, critical care, respiratory diseases, clinical nutrition and therapeutic drug monitoring. He is visitor professor of international master program: “Analytical chemistry for Drugs and Natural Products” at the Bordeaux University Faculty of Pharmacy since 2015. He is in Executive Board of Turkish Clinical Pharmacy Society and Council Member of European Society for Clinical Nutrition and Metabolism (ESPEN) to represent Turkish Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition Society (KEPAN).
